Application Criteria  

If you are interested in being part of the 2025 residency cohort, please see the criteria below.

• Must be a rising junior in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Teacher Education or Secondary English Education who is eligible to begin methods/student teaching in the fall of 2025 OR must have applied to the M.S. STEM education 4+1 program and are ready to begin coursework in summer 2025.
• Preferred overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Must have outstanding evaluations on all field experiences prior to student teaching, if applicable.
• Must have demonstrated professional behavior throughout their undergraduate career in classes and field experiences.
• Must be a May graduate.
• Cannot participate in winter session study abroad during the residency year.
• Must be willing to teach in Delaware for 3 years after graduation.
